The film begins with a group of men preparing weapons for a fire fight. Among them, an argument sparks regarding whether or not a certain person will be at their destination, a local grocery store. Upon arrival, they find a group of people.

The guys from the car take over the store and appear to be looking for someone, and it seems one of them is “scanning” people by staring into their eyes. The cop who evaded the raiders, shoots one and calls for back up. He continues to elude the raiders for a few more seconds and shoots Spooky, the guy who was scanning everyone. The cop is shot and the dead are moved back to the freezers where one of the raiders shoot up the dead bodies.

The cleared hostages are sent out when the police arrive and the uncleared are all cordoned of in the back and forced to drink milk. The raiders then reveal that they are a group of scientist that are tracking an unknown contagion to this town and to the supermarket. Since Spooky is dead, they must use an alternate method to find out who is infected.

They take the first of the uncleared people, the boss of the store, and begin to ask questions. This is all to distract him from cutting one of his fingers. He protests and tries to escape showing them he has stolen money from the store. Meanwhile the hostages begin to plan an escape. As one of the hostages goes into the freezer to get a gun to escape he is killed by some person. Later, in the movie it is revealed that the person who killed the hostage is the king of the Aliens. And the rest of the story is how they get rid off him. In the near end they realize that the person they killed is not the king and the girl is the real one.

Preceded by The Da Vinci Code

Angels & Demons is a 2009 American film adaptation of Dan Brown’s eponymous novel, released on May 15, 2009. It is the prequel to The Da Vinci Code, another Brown film adaptation, although the novel Angels & Demons was published and takes place before the novel The Da Vinci Code. Filming took place in Rome and the Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. Tom Hanks reprises the lead role of Robert Langdon, while director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman also returned.

==PlThe film starts with the shattering of the Pope’s Ring of the Fisherman and his funeral in the Vatican. It then switches to CERN, a scientific research facility in Geneva, where a research team is experimenting with the creation of antimatter. In this scene, a woman named Vittoria Vetra, a scientist in the research team, is introduced. Just moments after larger quantities of antimatter have been successfully created by the team, the research facility is compromised by an intruder dressed as a scientist who steals the antimatter after murdering one of the individuals guarding it, Vittoria’s research partner Silvano. Robert Langdon, a professor at Harvard University, is visited by a Vatican police official who tells him that someone has been making threats against the Vatican and has already kidnapped four cardinals – the four preferiti (Italian for “preferred”), who are the four favorites to succeed as Pope, before the papal conclave. The officer also tells Langdon that the kidnapper will begin executing the cardinals every hour starting at 8 p.m. that night. After Langdon arrives at the Vatican, the Vatican police show Langdon a video of the antimatter placed in an undetermined location through a video camera specifically shooting the object that is fed into a surveillance system. After the camerlengo, the personal chamberlain to the previous Pope, suggests the idea, the Swiss Guard decide to find the location of the antimatter by systematically shutting off sections of the city’s electrical grid and monitoring the surveillance camera to see if it shuts off corresponding to the city sections being shut off. If a section of the city’s power has been turned off and the camera also loses power, the theory holds that the camera is located in that section of the city. Langdon is also introduced to Vittoria. + When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati – the most powerful underground organization – + in history – he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization’s most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. – Langdon at this point mentions the history between the Illuminati and the Vatican and the conflict that began between them in 1668

Angels and Demons (2009)

When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati – the most powerful underground organization in history – he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization’s most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican’s only hope for survival.

Angels and Demons was the reclusive authors third novel after he gave up his job as an English teacher. It tells the story of Langdons brush with a shadowy secret society, the Illuminati, and his frantic quest for the worlds most powerful energy source, in the company of a beautiful Italian physicist whose father, a brilliant physicist, has been murdered.

The team behind the global phenomenon “The Da Vinci Code” returns for the highly anticipated “Angels & Demons,” based upon the bestselling novel by Dan Brown. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon, who once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard again directs the film, which is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and John Calley. The screenplay is by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman.

In 1939, Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) travels from England to northern Australia to force her (in her opinion) philandering husband to sell his faltering Australian cattle station, Faraway Downs. Her husband sends an independent cattle drover (Hugh Jackman), called simply “Drover”, to Darwin to transport her to Faraway Downs. Lady Sarah’s husband, who has been working hard to sell 1500 head of cattle to the military, is murdered shortly before she arrives. Meanwhile, treacherous FD cattle station manager Neil Fletcher (David Wenham) is trying to gain control of Faraway Downs, so that neighboring Lesley ‘King’ Carney (Bryan Brown) can have a cattle monopoly in the Northern Territory, which will give him negotiating leverage with the Australian army. Fletcher also claims to Lady Sarah that the murderer of her husband is an Aboriginal elder with magical powers, “King George” (David Gulpilil).

The childless Lady Sarah is captivated by the young boy Nullah (Brandon Walters), who was born to an Aboriginal mother and an unknown white father. Nullah tells her that he has seen her cattle being driven onto Carney’s land — in other words, stolen from her. Because of this, Fletcher mistreats Nullah and threatens him and his mother, after which Lady Sarah fires Fletcher and decides to try and run the cattle station herself. When Nullah and his mother hide from the white authorities by entering a water tower, his mother drowns. Lady Sarah comforts Nullah by singing the song “Over the Rainbow” from the film The Wizard of Oz. Nullah tells her that “King George” is his grandfather, and that like “King George” he too is a “magic man”.

Lady Sarah persuades Drover to take the cattle to Darwin for sale. Drover, a white man, is friendly with the Aborigines, and therefore shunned by many of the other whites in the territory. It is revealed that he had married an Aboriginal woman, but she had died after being refused medical treatment in a local hospital because of her race. Drover leads a team of six other riders, including Lady Sarah, Drover’s Aboriginal brother-in-law Magarri (David Ngoombujarra), Nullah, and the station’s accountant Kipling Flynn (Jack Thompson), to drive the 1,500 cattle to Darwin. Carney’s men set large fires to make the cattle stampede, and Flynn is killed. However, at the last minute, Nullah stops the cattle from stampeding over a cliff, by apparently using magic learned from his grandfather. Lady Sarah and Drover develop a romance, and she gains a new appreciation for the Australian territory. But Carney’s men poison all the water sources along the cattle-drive route, so the group risks driving the cattle through the dangerous Never Never desert, which they accomplish with the help of “King George”. Then, when at last delivering the cattle in Darwin, the group has to race them onto the ship before Carney’s cattle are loaded.

Two years pass and Lady Sarah, Nullah, and Drover live together happily at Faraway Downs. However, Fletcher kills Carney and frames it as a tragic accident, marries his daughter Cath Carney, takes over Carney’s cattle empire, and then continues to menace Lady Sarah. It is determined that Fletcher was the actual murderer of Lady Sarah’s husband, and that Fletcher is also almost certainly the father of Nullah. Nullah is drawn to perform a ceremonial coming-of-age walkabout with his grandfather “King George”, but is instead captured by the authorities and sent to live on Mission Island with the rest of the half-Aboriginal children (dubbed the “Stolen Generations“). Lady Sarah vows to find him again somehow, but first works as a radio operator in Darwin during the escalation of World War II. When the Japanese attack the island and Darwin in 1942, Lady Sarah fears that Nullah was killed.

Drover, who had quarrelled with Lady Sarah and had gone droving apparently never to return, hears (mistakenly) that she has been killed in the bombing of Darwin. (It is later revealed that the dead woman thought to be Sarah is in fact Catherine Fletcher, who had volunteered to take Sarah’s shift at army radio headquarters so Sarah could go to Nullah earlier.) Drover finds out about Nullah’s abduction to Mission Island, and sets out with Magarri and Ivan (the hotelier) to rescue Nullah and the other children from the island using a sailboat. Magarri sacrifices himself to buy the others more time during the escape, and is shot by the Japanese. The others all make it safely back to Darwin. Meanwhile, Lady Sarah has sold Faraway Downs to Fletcher, and is leaving the Northern Territory that morning, since she believes there is nothing more to hold her there. But when Drover and the children sail back into port at Darwin, Nullah plays his harmonica with the tune of “Over the Rainbow”. Lady Sarah hears the music, abandons her trip, and the three are reunited. Fletcher, who knows Nullah is the one link to his disreputable past that can ruin him, and rails that the boy must have cursed him, attempts to shoot Nullah, but is speared by King George and falls dead. King George then states in his native language that Nullah is Fletcher’s son and his grandson. Lady Sarah, Drover, and Nullah return to the safety of remote Faraway Downs. On the way back to Faraway Downs, King George calls for Nullah, his grandson, to go walkabout. Lady Sarah embraces Nullah and then lets him go to his grandfather, who explains now they will return to his land, and then looking at Lady Sarah, says “our land”.

    Volume #1 (Eps #1-4)

Mafia goons are doing their best to whack each other on the mean streets of the Big Apple, and hot lead is punching holes in the walls of a cross-country train called the Flying Pussyfoot. But this caper ain’t about a simple gangland feud or a train heist. It’s about hoods that can’t seem to die proper after catching a bullet or five between the eyes. For now, how’s about we start on a ship called the Advenna Avis. Seems a group of guys who never wanna die are summoning a demon, and the proceedings are turning nasty. It’s as good a start as any for a story where every Dick and Jane plays the lead.

    Volume #2 (Eps # 5-8)

Mafia goons are doing their best to whack each other on the mean streets of the Big Apple, and hot lead is punching holes in the walls of a cross-country train called the Flying Pussyfoot. Volume #3 (Eps # 9-12)

The immortal gangsters are still trying to rub each other out, but hoods who won’t die are tough to whack. Explosions rock the Flying Pussyfoot as the train nears the station, but this caper ain’t about arrivals and departures. It’s about the twists and turns along the way. It’s about vicious monsters, deadly dames, and the sins of the past colliding with the present. For now, how’s about we start in the alleys of the Big Apple. A notorious thug has gotten his filthy hands on a mysterious elixir and it just might mean his reign of terror could last forever. It’s as good a start as any for a story where every Dick and Jane plays the lead.

    Volume #4 (Eps # 13-16)

The train is pulling in and the mobsters and monsters who populate this caper are ready to settle a score that’s been a long time coming. But this ain’t about revenge or pride. This is about the ins and outs of living forever. It’s about making your way among thieves with honor and politicians with dirty hands. This is about sticking up for the guys that do you right and the gals that love you good. For now, how’s about we start at the end of the story, where a ruthless alchemist is gonna get his after a couple of centuries of shady soul eating. It’s as good a start as any for a story that never ends.

Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Liv (Kate Hudson) are best friends who have planned every detail of their weddings since they first witnessed a wedding at the Plaza Hotel. Therefore, they both have made it lifetime priority to be married in the same location.

The movie begins with the two women getting engaged at the shared age of 26. They then schedule their weddings with New York’s most famous wedding planner, but due to a clerical error they’re scheduled to have a wedding on the same day. A week of passive aggressive hostility passes before the two women make it clear that neither will compromise, especially after Liv tries to take advantage of Emma’s passive nature and outraging Emma in the process. During this time Emma’s fiance, Fletcher, begins to show signs of being controlling.

The women both attempt to sabotage the other’s wedding, including Liv making Emma’s tan turn bright orange, Emma tampering with Liv’s hair dye to make it turn Liv’s hair blue-white, and Emma showing up to Liv’s bachelorette party to outdance her. After the latter event Emma’s fiance shows that he is definitely overbearing and very likely sexist to boot by yelling at Emma and telling her not to be tense or angry anymore.

Both brides-to-be are then shown to be in the plaza very shortly before they’re due to be wedded, separately. Right before Liv leaves to begin her march to the altar she tells her assistant to play the footage from a CD on a projection screen in Emma’s part of the plaza. The CD contains a montage of memorable events in Emma’s life, whereas the CD Liv had already set up (sabotage) to play contained a clip of Emma drunk and dancing wildly on a previous spring break. Liv’s assistant drops the CD behind a flower vase while muttering, “you’ll thank me one day,” to himself.

Emma begins her walk down the aisle with the best man but stops when the footage of her spring break is shown. She loses her temper completely and tackles Liv after sprinting to the other section of the plaza. The two brides wrestle in their dresses on the floor while the rest of the room looks on, the people closest to the brides having decided it would be best to let the brides resolve the problem. After tussling Emma and Liv lay on the ground panting, and then make up almost instantly. Emma stands up and has a conversation with Fletcher, during which they both realize that they’re not right for each other anymore. Liv’s wedding resumes with Emma happily participating, dancing with Nate, Liv’s brother.

The movie picks up a year later when Emma and Liv meet up for “drinks”, during which it’s revealed that Emma married Nate. Emma and Liv also reveal to each other that they’re pregnant and that their due dates are the same, March 3rd.

It has been announced that no new factions will be added but that new units, new models and textures will.Tales of Valor will include three new short campaigns, one where the player commands a Tiger I tank crew using the ‘new’ direct fire mode (Based on the Battle of Villers-Bocage), one as escaping Germans in the Falaise Pocket and one with US paratroopers based around taking a Causeway. Corel Draw X4

May 1, 2009 by Alexio Doblese

    Developed by Corel
    Latest release X4 / 2008-01-23; 461 days ago
    Operating system Microsoft Windows
    Type Vector graphics editor
    License Proprietary
    Website corel.com

Several innovations to vector-based illustration originated with CorelDRAW: a node-edit tool that operates differently on different objects, fit text-to-path, stroke-before-fill, quick fill/stroke color selection palettes, perspective projections, mesh fills and complex gradient fills.

CorelDRAW differentiates itself from its competitors in a number of ways:

The first is its positioning as a graphics suite, rather than just a vector graphics program. A full range of editing tools allow the user to adjust contrast, color balance, change the format from RGB to CMYK, add special effects such as vignettes and special borders to bitmaps. Bitmaps can also be edited more extensively using Corel PhotoPaint, opening the bitmap directly from CorelDRAW and returning to the program after saving. It also allows a laser to cut out any drawings.

CorelDRAW’s capability to handle multiple pages along with multiple master layers from within the main program provides a major benefit compared to Adobe Illustrator. Multipage documents are easy to create and edit and the Corel print engine allows for booklet and other imposition so even simple printers can be used for producing finished documents. One of the useful features for single and multi-page documents is the ability to create linked text boxes across documents that can be resized and moved while the text itself resets and flows through the boxes. Useful for creating and editing multi-article newsletters etc.

Smaller items, like business cards, invitations etc, can be designed to their final page size and imposed to the printer’s sheet size for cost-effective printing. An additional print-merge feature (using a spreadsheet or text merge file) allows full personalization for many things like numbered raffle tickets, individual invitations, membership cards and more. A bit like microsoft publisher but a lot more flexible and user friendly.

CorelDRAW’s competitors include Adobe Illustrator and Xara Xtreme. Although all of these are vector-based illustration programs, the user experience differs greatly between them. While these programs will read their native file types and vice versa, the translation is almost never perfect. CorelDRAW can open Adobe PDF files: Adobe PageMaker, Microsoft Publisher and Word, and other programs can print documents to PDF using the Adobe PDFWriter printer driver, which CorelDRAW can then open and edit every aspect of the original layout and design. CorelDRAW can also open PowerPoint Presentations and other Microsoft Office formats with little or no problem.

    Preceded by Crank

The film opens with a sequence designed to look like a classic video game, depicting Chev Chelios‘ (Jason Statham) fall from a helicopter during the final moments of the original Crank. Immediately after his fall, he is scooped off the street via snow shovel by group of Chinese medics and removed from the scene.

He wakes up in a makeshift hospital and sees doctors removing his heart while Johnny Vang (Art Hsu) watches. The doctors place Chev’s heart in a red cooler with a padlock, and place a clear plastic artificial heart in his chest. Chev passes out. He wakes up, and escapes. He notices a yellow battery pack is attached to him. After a gunfight and the interrogation of a thug, Chev learns the location of Johnny Vang – the Cypress Social Club.

Chev calls Doc Miles (Dwight Yoakam), who tells him that he has been fitted with an AbioCor Artificial heart. Once the external battery pack runs out, the internal battery will kick in and he will have one hour before it stops working. He crashes his car right after the conversation, destroying his external battery pack. In order to keep going, Chev has the driver use his jumper cables on himself, and runs to the Club.

Upon arriving, Chev inadvertently saves a prostitute named Ria (Bai Ling) from a customer. Ria is infatuated with Chev and claims she knows where Vang is (who escaped, carrying the red, padlocked cooler). She takes Chev to Strip Please, where Chev finds his old girlfriend Eve Lydon (Amy Smart), who thought he was dead. In a back room, Vang has been cornered by a group of Mexican gangsters, led by Chico (Joseph Julian Soria), who shows he means business by chopping off a man’s elbow. Vang agrees to let them have Chev, and apparently escapes. Chev is confronted by the Mexicans, and a gunfight breaks out. Everyone gets gunned down by Chev, except Chico, who escapes out a back door. Chev interrogates a wounded gangster, who informs him that El Huron (Clifton Collins, Jr.) is trying to kill him, but doesn’t know why. Chev picks up Eve and they walk out.

Outside, he is met by a group of cops, who begin beating him down. He is weakened, but one of them inadvertently charges Chev by using a taser on him. Another stripper tells Chev that he should look at the Hollywood horse racetrack for Johnny Vang. They encounter a group of porn stars protesting low wages, and Chev is forced to escape, leaving Eve in the back of the cop car. Chev is picked up by Venus (Efren Ramirez), who reveals himself to be Kaylo‘s brother. He also has Full Body Tourette’s Syndrome. At first, Chev tells Venus that everyone responsible for his brother’s death is dead, but this prompts Venus to leave. Wanting his help, Chev tells Venus that El Huron was involved but escaped.

The character originally appeared in Daredevil #1, which was published in April 1964. Daredevil was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, though character-design input derived from Jack Kirby. When Everett turned in his first-issue pencils extremely late, Marvel production manager Sol Brodsky and Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko inked a large variety of different backgrounds, a “lot of backgrounds and secondary figures on the fly and cobbled the cover and the splash page together from Kirby’s original concept drawing”.

Writer Mark Evanier believed that Jack Kirby had originally designed the basic image of Daredevil’s costume, though Everett modified it.The character’s original costume designed was a combination of black, yellow and red, reminiscent of acrobat tights. Acclaimed writer-artist Wally Wood penciled issues #5-8 of Daredevil, introducing the modern, recognizable red costume in issue #7 of Daredevil. Kirby had come up with the idea of Daredevil’s billy club.

Issue #12 began a brief run by Jack Kirby (layouts) and John Romita, Sr. The issue marked Romita’s return to superhero penciling after a decade of working exclusively as a romance-comic artist for DC. Romita had felt he no longer wanted to pencil, in favor of being solely an inker. He recalled in 1999,
“ I had inked an Avengers job for Stan, and I told him I just wanted to ink. I felt like I was burned out as a penciller after eight years of romance work. I didn’t want to pencil any more; in fact, I couldn’t work at home any more — I couldn’t discipline myself to do it. He said, ‘Okay,’ but the first chance he had he shows me this Daredevil story somebody had started and he didn’t like it, and he wanted somebody else to do it”.
